Did you know earthquakes can happen anywhere? Whether you are at work, at home or on vacation, it’s important to know what to do in the event of an earthquake. People across the world will participate in the “world’s largest earthquake drill,” according to shakeout.org. Participants will “drop, cover [and] hold on,” which is the best way to reduce your chance of injury in an earthquake situation if you are inside. The day can also raise awareness for what to do in other scenarios such as if you are outdoors or in a vehicle.
