Nearly one year since the Camp Fire

It has been nearly one year since the Camp Fire started in Paradise California. We decided to take a trip back to see how the restoration of this beautiful town is going. 

While there was still a very sobering feeling driving through this town, there was also a light of life coming back to this town. As you drive through you see newly built homes, business, and parks. While many stores and restaurants have not begun to rebuild, the smaller business and community centers have. Families are coming together to clear the land where there homes once were to begin rebuilding. Trees are being planted, landscaping coming back to life, and churches with full parking lots. 

However, with all this life, there are still scars in the earth that will forever show the mark that this fire left on such a tight knit community in despair. 

The picture here shows that among so much pain, one can still feel love. Lock with names of those who lost their life, those who helped restore the community, and names of families who were displaced.
